Food Web site enhanced

McDonald's might call it supersized.

Today, Topeka.net launches a new and improved Food + Flicks -- a one-stop shop for planning dinner and a movie date. Or just a movie. Or just a run for grub.

Food + Flicks is online at http://food.topeka.net.

At Food + Flicks, a new movie database will keep users in the know of what's playing in Topeka, as well as Lawrence and Manhattan. Also find the daily movie times plus times movies are playing during the next five days.

Not sure what to see? Joe Zima will have some ideas. Topeka's longtime movie reviewer (he appears weekly on WIBW-TV Channel 13) is adding his voice to Food + Flicks with a regular movie blog. Food blogger "CurlyGrrrl" checks out what's happening inside Topeka restaurants. Meanwhile, chef Greg Fox gives you the view from inside the RowHouse kitchen with the "Ask a Chef" feature. The site also features stories about area restaurants.

Plus, the site retains the same comprehensive information from the original Food + Flicks. That means details about all of the restaurants in town -- from the best spots for burgers to fine dining spots that bring out the white tablecloths. Find who is open early and who serves late. Plus, readers can still comment on their favorite or not-so-favorite spots. And there are restaurant coupons for the deal-hunters.
